i have a 05 4.3 l v6 chevysilverado and ever sice i got the truck about a year ago the best mpgs ive gotten is 16 i ussually get 14 to 15 anyone else have a truck like this and get this kinda gas mileage or whats wrong with my truck?
the v-8s generally get better mileage the silvrado is pretty heavy for the v-6 the v-8 doesnt have to work as hard to push it the mileage you posted actually is about right for a full size pickup with either the 6 or 8
That's about average for a truck w v/6,but it also depends on the series of truck(ie.extended cab,crew,3dr.or 4).Also 4x4`s typically do a little worse.
Check the air filter for cleanliness.
