I have a 99 Chevy Silverado 1500 V8 5.3 L Ext Cab 4WD
It's the new body style, not the old
I just bought it with a few modifications
It has a KN Cold Air Intake
Edelbrock Performance Headers
Throttle Body Spacer
Performance Power Tuner
Magnaflow Complete Exhaust Kit
Fuel Injector things
And I run at least 93 or higher octane fuel in the truck
To my understanding, these things should slightly increase my gas mileage
I'm consistently getting 13 MPG
I had a 2003 Silverado, with no mods, but it got 17 MPG
What's going on with my truck?
I know for a fact that the KN Air Filter is dirty, it looks disgusting, so I know it's dirty. I'm working on figuring out how to clean it or replace it.
The guy I bought it from used to run it through the mud a lot, I dunno if
that helps
Is my truck a piece of crap? Or do things just need to be cleaned?
