Well it is my first car. My parents and I are picking it up this week. it is a 2008 chevy cobalt coupe lt, metallic slate.

I was just wondering, is it a good, solid car? I'm not one of those guys who are infatuated with cars and try to use nice cars to pick up girls. I just want a car to get me from point A to point B...especially since I am going to be going to college next year.

It is a 4 cylinder, and it does feel very comfortable inside when i test drove it.

Can anyone tell me their opinions of or on it?

Please and thank you.
First car, 17 years old.

I think that will be very nice for your FIRST car. Being an 08, there will still be a lot of warranty coverage, so reliability shouldn't be an issue. They are also a very good value for what you get - and are much better than the Cavaliers they replaced. As long as you aren't concerned about making a big statement or speed, I think you'll be happy with it. Plus, it's not like you're married to it, so if you decide it isn't the car for you, you shouldn't have a hard time selling it. They have a pretty descent reputation.

Its a weak (engine wise) car that is not highly desirable, but will DEFINITELY get you A to B for many years down the road. Your resale value, however, will suck.
