First Car!! Chevy Malibu and yours?

I don't know how we managed to get the funds, but I'm getting my first car next week! 1998 Chevy Malibu, burgundy in color. What was your first car? What's your favorite car you've owned? What should I know about a car, or more importantly special features I should expect from this car, or possible problems I may have with it.

well my first vehicle was a 1972 chevy el camino.. i got it when i was 9 and by the time i was 16 it was fully restored.. stainless steel silver /w 2 back stripes on the hood 454 swapped out for a LS1.. then for my highschool graduation me and my dad unveiled my new ride (he wanted the el camino) a 1973 240z with a rb26dett swap Brilliant White with navy blue pin stripeing, all emblems were removed and replaced with pinstriped emblems

the malibu will be a great car my neighbor has a 98 i believe as well he's got over 100k miles on it but every friday night he takes his matte black Golf GTi out

First car I bought myself = 1986 Volkswagen Jetta GL <3
MKII Jettas/Golfs are awesome, reliable, and well..i'm a VW/Audi/Porsche fan so that works out well lol.

Fav car 'owned' = 2008 Mazda 3 ['owned' cause I am a ZipCar member]

What to know? The main thing you should do is KEEP UP WITH MAINTENANCE!!! Oil changes, Transmission changes, etc...look in that service book that you SHOULD have. If not, get a service manual somewhere for your Malibu. Special features? Search online for more info on your car. It may last til 180k or more, just take good care of it.
