No Codes Present on System!
two issues, Failure to reach Temperature, and HVAC System not operating correctly, read below.
1999 Suburban 2wd 1500.....Never reaches 195 degree operating Temp.
Installed 2 new 195 degree thermostats, no joy. Also, Vent Controls
inside never transition from front vent to floor vents.
I can feel heat and cool air when cycling from Heater to A/C but
the vents never transition in front air or rear air.
Verified Vacuum is working from PVC interface to firewall switch near Drier,
(switch has both an electrical plug and a source vacuum and a provide vacuum line),
but the vacuum coming out of the switch is non existent, into the
4 way valve connected to the bypass and heater hoses.
I shunted vacuum from the PVC vacuum to the 4 way valve and still no joy....
I am out of ideas at the moment, any ideas on what I can do next.
This 4 way valve could be bad, and the switch at the firewall could also be bad.
I need a sure fire way to verify before I shell out money on shotgunning parts.
I also just installed a brand new brake booster on this Vehicle, two days ago. Brakes work much better now. HVAC had same problems before I installed the new Booster. After installing, the problem went away for a day, and then came back a day later.
