Factory paint stick marking on 283 engine block

I'm repainting the engine in my low mileage 66 nova, it's a 283 power glide and while washing the engine noticed several paint stick markings on the right side head both front and rear, both sides of the block below the heads and a pink paint marking above the crankshaft on the back of the block. Is there a site that or someone that can help me decode these markings? I would like to remark the block after paint but the original marks are very faint and hard to read. Any help is appreciated. Never came across a reference to markings on the block or heads after the engine was painted.
Organization such as NCRS would be aware of markings on Corvette blocks.
