Hey guys. This is my first post on here. I am sure this has been asked before but parts and manufacturers change over time, so I figured I would make a new thread.
My question is this.
I have a '99 Chevy suburban k2500 that has been giving me some engine trouble. Rather than trying to chase around the issue for months, I would like to put a brand new crate motor in it(along with some other none engine related upgrades). But where do I start? Who sells fully built crate motors? Do I really want a compete one, or should I build one up myself? And what engine(s) could I fit in my suburban without any modification?
The transmission has been just fine to me, and I would like to keep it in place if possible. I really want to just swap out the engine to give me time to tear down the old one and get a good look at what is wrong with it.
Any input would be appreciated. Thank you all for looking.
