My husband has been deployed, so I only ran the car about 2 times a week during the 6 months or so he was gone. During the last month, I took the car out for a drive and filled up the gas tank completely, then I put a bottle of fuel injection cleaner in there since the old gas used to be sitting in there.
The light didn't turn on until about 1 week later after I took it out and put cleaner in there. I only have driven it twice since then and it was for less than 10 minutes at a time. Any help on what is causing the light to be on steadily? I haven't noticed a difference in the car when I drove it for about 5 minutes.
I just don't want to take it to the dealership if it's a silly problem that I could have fixed myself.
I did read the owners manual and all they referenced was the gas cap being tighten (it is), going through a puddle (I didn't).
