I'v got a 2000 Silverado 1500 5.3 Vortec. it has 220xxx miles on it. for the last few months I have had some issues with it. When I ease into the throttle the engine sounds great, will top out at 6 grand RPM's. But if put my foot to the floor the engine will go up to around 3 grand and wont go any higher. That's in park. When I'm driving and trying to pass someone or going up hills and have to give it more throttle it down shifts and goes to 3 grand and I start losing acceleration. There's no check engine light and I checked if there were any codes anyways but it's empty.
