So basically if you weren't aware of the issue within a certain time frame, even if the issue is present in your vehicle, they will not cover it for you. These guys are the luckiest "losers" of a lawsuit in history and I'm wondering who the hell thought this settlement was satisfactory. I'm on the hook for $3800 because I bought the Equinox in Nov 2017 and the extended warranty expired Oct 2018. I only put 5k miles on the car in that time and had no reason to believe there was an issue. Once I started driving it more, I noticed a funny noise from the engine. Turns out it was nearly empty of oil. I have nothing but regrets buying this thing and to be stuck paying out of pocket on a KNOWN ISSUE they have been SUED FOR is complete BS and incredibly frustrating.
