DRL (daytime running lights)

hi all

thanks for everyone putting their time into this site..i've read alot and learned alot. unfortunately i can't find the answer to this --

i have a 2003 chevy malibu 3.1 (97-03 gen)

the only way i have found to disable the drls is to rewire at the bcm (body control module)

i do not feel comfortable doing it this way and hope we can find a simpler way

looking at the fuse block, i see

MICRO RELAYS (not fuses)
19 automatic light control
20 automatic light control
22 daytime running lamps

i'm not sure if it as simple as removing 22 or all 3 based on reading ;

has anyone with a 97-03 malibu removed just 22 OR all 3


thanks for reading and i hope we can find something (and PLEASE don't turn this thread into ' why would you want to disable drls?'

I'd suggest just removing #22 and see what happens. Seems to me that if you do that, then the other two won't come into play.

The article refers to relay 30 which is the equivilant of relay 22 in the Malibu. You also have to make the jumper.
