Ok I bought a 92 Chevy Silverado 5.7L 2500 for $2900 and it runs fantastic.. but..

I noticed the driver side brake light assembly wasn't doing too good so I took it apart.. but the lights all around work perfect minus JUST the drivers side in the rear..I changed ALL the bulbs and also changed the socket assembly (tail lamp connector plate) and went to check it against the wall of my garage since its white so i can see the reflection.

The turn signal doesn't work at all

IN REVERSE: brake light works, reverse light works.
IN REVERSE WITH THE HEADLIGHTS ON: reverse light works.
WITH THE IGNITION OFF: neither turn signals work, brake light doesn't work.

I attempted taking the T out at the trailer hookup-no change.

I also noticed a black wire that I assume is ground coming off the frame behind a bolt near the issue area but cannot find where it came from.

ANYONE GOT A BRIGHT IDEA?
