I am a little leary of domestic autos but these get very good gas mileage and they are very roomy inside and they are pretty darn cheap. I am driving a Nissan Armada now and even with the gas prices down that thing costs me $50 to fill up and only gets about 14-16 HWY MPG. What cars would you recommend that are cheap.
I have looked at the Honda's but they are pretty pricey, up around 20K. I want one around 10K or 12K since I plan to keep the Armada for when the whole family goes somewhere, I need a cheap payment.

Ok Look. I have a 2006 Chevy Cobalt LS 80,000 miles on it, I have even turbo charged the dam engine and I stress the Hell out of it, and to this day, I have had not one single problem with the car. I have a chevy truck that has 600,000 miles and no problem yet and still running fine. If your a gear head like me you would understand that you really can't ask honda people about other car makers product because sterotypically they think all Honda are the greatest car ever and reliable which is a lie, You honestly don't think civic are no where to be found in junk yards? my friend bought a brand new Civic Si 2007 and anything that can go wrong with a car did go wrong with that car. He Hates Honda now and his Mustang i doing so much better. Its a myth about foreign car being better. I spend my time with all kinds of cars and with the care I give them, no cars give me trouble.

As far as the HHR goes, the HHR is an ecotech engine which is the same engine the cobalts have. It should be very reliable as long as you change fluids right on time, the SS models are Turbocharged so you will be getting a bang for your buck lol. And very economical 30 mpgs to the freeway
