...SS, corvettes? im looking to find out if the late 80s GM sports cars sit on a common frame, and if they even use those same frames for the trucks because i saw a camaro on a chevy pick up truck frame with everything from the pickup on it(engine, trans, rear end and suspension) but with a camaro body on top, and i am looking to start restoring my 88 Monte SS, and use heavy duty parts which those of a chevy pick up or suburban or especially a corvette would use, and if they are interchangeable it will be great to know. Basically could i use a corvette exhaust, driveshaft, rear end( i know i can), because i am trying to restore it to look clean, but have a muscle car inside. Any intput is great, I know a good amount about cars, i have built a few chevy engines from the block up, and understand alot about cars, but without being a mechanic, i dont have the knowledge of interchangeability on these similar cars.
