Hello All,

We just came across the following and I'm unfamiliar with the market and value for the old school burbs.

1. Chevrolet Suburban (1987) - $1900
-From Cali
-NO Rust
-1/2 ton, 4WD, 350 cu Engine, 700R tranny, 154xxx

2. GMC Suburban (1988) - $2400
-NO Rust
-3/4 ton, 4wd, 350 cu engine, THR 400 auto tranny, 3rd row, power windows, brake control, running boards, 140xxx

Here's my question...I'm pretty sure we can get both for $4,000 and we'd definitely keep one as we love the older burbs. Is it reasonable to think we could drop $500-$1000 into the other and flip it for a profit? After looking at various online sources, I could not find another comparable one so inexpensive. Any input is GREATLY appreciated as we are going up north to pick up at least the '88 tomorrow morning. Thanks guys (and gals)!

Cannt see how anybody over the internet can tell you how much money you will have to invest into either one of these based on so little information. At the very least numerous pictures of the vehicles would be required and even then it would be guess work without actually seeing/driving the vehicle.

They don't bring much money here. I paid $1800 for a '93 a couple years ago. I expect that your margin would be very slim. Any serious problem(s) would eat it up. That's just my $.02
