cruise control not working

I used to have cruise control on my 04 chevy silverado but now nothing is happening. now it used to work before i put aftermarket led's tailights in then realized its not working so i put the stocks back on and its still didnt work. do i need to replace the cruise control switch

Couple of stupid questions. First, have you checked the fuse box and second, did you cut any wires when you installed the led's?
