Corvette Engine Swap!!!?

I have a 1989 Chevrolet Corvette convertible. I have been having engine trouble and by chance I recently came across a great deal on a 1995 LT1 engine. I know they didn't start using the LT1 until 1992 but I was wondering if it could be put into my 1989?

It's basically the same engine; Both are 350 small blocks, so sure.
