I have a 96 Chevy Silverado and it is a manual. I am having problems with the clutch. When is went out the first time it was the master cylinder. so i had that replaced. well then a couple months later maybe 4 months it went out again and it was replaced under warranty except for labor. well then not even a 2 months later it went out again so i had it towed again to the same place that did the job. well they bled out the clutch and there was air in it. now its driving but its still not the same. its still kinda hard to shift and the clutch is kinda soft the pedal goes about a quarter down before pressure. I cant even get the truck in reverse without turning the truck off. I am not exactly sure of what maybe causing this i have a few ideas. All I can think of it would be is either the pivot bearing in the clutch the slave cylinder or the clutch itself or maybe even something in the transmision. I have tried to pump the clutch a few times when the truck was on and off and does the same thing. I am a chevy guy i am not going to get away from chevy cuz i like chevy i never had any problems with them except for this wich is weird. I do know I need a new rear main seal from the engine just because i would rev up the engine a few times. It could very well be the clutch cuz i did a few burnouts with the truck but that was like almost 2 years ago so in away i did abuse it a little but it was fun. I would get a new truck but dont have the money so i will keep putting money into this one. I was planning on getting the engine cleaned up the transmission and stuff but dont have the money right now. its a good truck and will last me for years just have to find out what is wrong with it now. I get good gas mileage out of it. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know anything would help thanks.
