Chevy Suburban Troubles!!!!!!?

ok so i was jus in here yesterday ugghhh i drove to school today for the first time and i accidentaly left my lights on so my battery was dead before i noticed that they were left on so i tried to jump it but it let no spark and it wouldnt get a charge so we went and bought a battery at auto zone and now the batt is in it and the alarm will not go off so everytime we try to crank the alarm automatically shuts it off i think any help on this subject???????
