Chevy silverado or avalanche?

I get my license in a month and also a job, meaning I'm gonna start saving up for a car. I was originally gonna get a silverado, but the avalanche looks amazing. The only thing I don't like about it is how its part SUV, and I don't like SUVs.

I live in suburban texas and the truck would mostly be used for getting to and from school, but also occasionally hauling loads and ferrying airsoft gear to/from fields.

YOu can't go wrong with the silverado..it's a great truck..very capable...i think the silverado would be better for towing, and hauling and good for general driving..but if you don't plan on doing anything but normal street driving a flex fuel avalanche would be good..
