Here's the deal: I have a Chevy Malibu I bought in late 2000 with 30,000 miles on it and it has almost 180,000 miles on it now. I drove 70 miles (straight highway, on cruise) to and from work, four days a week. My husband's brother and his wife decided to give us their Elantra because they bought a big SUV (because they have one baby with another one on the way) and don't have enough room for the Elantra (which I thought was very, VERY nice of them). Well, here's the question: Is it safe to say that Hyundai Elantras are reliable cars? (I've been driving Fords and Chevys all my life).
