Today has been the second time in about a week that the power steering has turned on and I have not had power steering until I pull over to the side of the road and turn my car off then back on. I'm not sure if this is related to it being cold or not. My car does not take power steering fluid it is electronic. Can anyone tell me around how much it will cost to get this fixed? If there has been a recall on such a failure? And if it would just be better to trade my car in and get a different one. My car is at 92k miles and I bought it used in May 2009.
Thank you in advance.
No... I did not read anything in the news about any recall for such a thing. I navigated around that site and did not see any recalls for my car. I might be doing it wrong or they just haven't recalled it. It's kind of nerve wracking to start driving from a stop light then have it go out. Makes me fear that I'll be going at higher speeds and it'll cut out and cause an accident.
