Just bear with me on this as I describe what lead up to this.
Bought the car on May 1 2010,broke down in one day. Had it towed back to where I bought it cause car would not go over 30 miles an hour and turn signals stopped working. Those were fixed but I get it back from them after they had it for a week saying the lower intake was leaking and that it would be fine as long as I kept the coolant and oil filled. Another rep from the company said that it would not be a problem and his car had the same problem. I take it back in and have the turn signals fixed cause back when I had it in the first time they said it was not a problem. The relay switch was replaced.
However the man comes back out and tells me about the lower intake leaking and that the coolant is mixing in with the oil and that I should have it fixed. I said two people from your company told me it would be fine and that was normal. Everything was fixed and the gasket kit included a gasket, seal listed twice, sealant, coolant and filter. I assume this is part of the gasket kit I don't know.
I have researched online prior to having it fixed and it can be very complex when it comes to something like this. My question is how would they know if there was any damage at all to the engine and what things should I be looking out for.
If coolant was leaking into the engine what does that mean for the engine now. I know some things about cars but this really is out of my league of understanding. All answers are appreciated especially the thorough and informative ones.
