ok i drive a 2009 chevy cobalt LS sedan
it has a weight sensor in the passenger seat to detect the passenger and turn the airbag on or off and set off an alarm if they do not have a seatbelt on
problem: it's REALLY sensitive - to the point where leaving my ipod or a pack of poptarts in the seat causes the alarm to go off
solution [other than removing the object in the seat or buckling the belt]?
i thought the current flow through the cord would create a magnetic field which the sensor would pick up.....i'll have to try resting the ipod somewhere else...
