Chevy Cobalt 2006 Check Break Light / Ding Keeps Coming On?

Hello! I have a 2006 Chevy Cobalt-2006 and the check break light and dinging sound keeps coming on. I checked the emergency break and it is not on. I don't have any trouble stopping etc. Does anyone have any ideas?

check to see if you have a brake light out and the other guy had a good suggestion. also the e brake switch may have come loose causing it to ding. look under the brake handle and find the switch and see if it wiggles if not see if the prong is wore out on it.

Check and see if your brake fluid is low by looking in the brake fluid reservoir. If it is full or above the add fluid line then look underneath your car at the inside of each wheel and see if there is any leakage. And if everything looks OK call a Chevrolet Dealer and tell them about your check brake light and dinging sound coming on because brakes are very important. They will want to check the brake system out for you.
