Check engine light

So I recently purchased my 2016 Chevy Cruze check engine light was on so I hooked up my OBD scan tool mass airflow sensor so I replaced it change the oil scan it again timing advance whatever lights on so I googled symptoms change the air filter code still popping not sure what the hell it is stumped any help as to why area code keeps popping up on my OBD2 scanner thank you in advance
