check engine light ???

hi new to forum but i have an 03 suburban check engine light stays on had it scanned and was told no code was being thrown i assume since the light is on there should be a code is there a different reader to be used? any help is greatly appreciated as this light has become quite annoying and i like to keep up on my maintenance thanks

did they say no code or they couldn't read any codes? If they couldn't read codes you have a problem with the port, could be a blown fuse, check the cigarette lighter fuse.

ah yes thank you it was the fuse its the simple things that get me sometimes
