...head unit to a 2006 chevy cobalt LS? I recently bought a Kenwood KDC-138 head unit for my sisters car. its a 2006 chevy cobalt 2 door coupe with base stuff. doesn't have power windows or power mirrors. also does not have door chimes. i spoke with a crutchfield rep and he said i would need to pay 100$ for the wire harness to keep the info center. this does not make sense since it calculates gas mileage and engine stats. i have the tray that holds a deck from my 2005 cobalt ls 4 door that i totaled. i took that out and am wondering if it will fit her 2006
my questions are
can i use the cheap wire harnesses from Walmart to install the stereo?
if not whats the cheapest solution?
will a 2005 cobalt LS stereo tray work with the 06?
any good hints on the install since this is my first one!?
i also bought this stereo in a combo package from radioshack for 80$, would it be easier to spend the extra 20$ and return the stereo to radioshack and purchase the stereo from crutchfield to get the master sheets?
