Can I put in a radio from a 99 malibu into a 1997 chevy s-10?

I want to change my radio for my s-10 and i used to have a chevy malibu and i have the radio. Do you think I can.. It looks like it fits... PLZ HELP me!!!

Just about all of the chevy radio's will fit into another chevy,Chevy dash boards aren't very deep where the radio goes some you can;t just go down and buy any radio to put in it without the adapter ,most after market radio's are about 11/2 longer then the dash ,that's why you need the adapter.
