Can anyone help me figure out how to install the ignition wire for a stereo in a 01

chevy cavalier? I want to install a aftermarket stereo...but i don't know where the ignition wire or accessory wire are located my wires...i've been told that i have to run a wire from the ignition but i don't know how to run such a wire...can u help me??

you need to use a wiring harness and if you do they come with instructions.

There should allready be a wire in the harness that plugged into your old radio. Easiest to go to radio store and buy a adapter harness for it. Not sure on 01 but some new cars the radio is part of computer network. If you take out factory radio you can cause some modules not to work and a check engine light. Make sure first.
