A few months ago when I found out that my brake fluid was low, I topped it off with some synthetic DOT3 brake fluid. Less did I know that you are not supposed to mix DOT3 regular and DOT3 synthetic brake fluids.

I need to flush the entire system and fill it up with new DOT3 regular brake fluid. I have a motive bleeded and I am familiar with the brake bleeding process.

The question is about flushing the old fluid completely out. How do you do this and make sure that it's clean before I fill in the new fluid? Someone suggested running alcohol through the system Is this a sensible method?

I am assuming that the entire system does not have to be dis assembled to do a good ceaning.
