blinkers

Hi! I have a 2007 chevy malibu LS . When I use my right blinker it will not disengage on its own and when I use my left blinker it will not engage on its own. Can anyone tell me what may be going on? Thanks

the right side sounds like the switch but what do you mean the left side wont engage on it's own, obviously you have to move the switch for it to engage?

When I put my right blinker on I have to manually turn it off, my left blinker I have to manually hold it in the blinking position and turn it off.

Could it be a fuse??

no, a blown fuse you would get no blinkers, you have a bad directional switch
