I have a 1999 Chevy Suburban 2500, 4WD, 454 engine, 4:11 rear end. I have had it since new with no problems. Recently, I had new rotors and pads put on the front and had the rear brake shoes replaced and the left emergency brake cable replaced. The mechanic said there was axle grease in the left rear drum and replaced the left rear axle seal. I drove it for about 30-40 miles and noticed a fairly strong vibration that got worse when I applied the brakes. Took it home and parked it in the driveway. Next morning, there was a puddle of axle grease on the inside of the left rear wheel.
Took it back and they did the same thing thing and I had the same result. Took it back a 3rd time and they replaced the seal, wheel bearing, also new seal on the right side. This time I had a stronger vibration and both wheels are leaking. took it back again this morning and no one, including myself and the local Chevy dealership knows what the problem is.
Does anyone have any ideas???
Thanks,
