alarm activates when trying to program a new key

So i lost both keys and fobs for my 2010 traverse. I got a new key from my dealer and the instructions to program it.

my issue is that when I open the with the key and try to program the new key the alarm activates and won't turn off.

the key needs to be in the ignition for a total of 30 minutes.

so my question is how do I turn off the alarm?

Without knowing the instructions you were given by the dealer it will be difficult to answer your question. Did you contact the dealer with your issue?
