Hey, everybody.

I bought a used 2003 Suburban last month. My first Chevy. Dear old dad always insisted on Fords, but he's been gone a few years now, and when my Mountaineer kissed an oak, I was looking for a cheap reliable grocery-getter/kid-hauler.

The "service airbag" message has come up three times now. Each of the first two times, it was only for a day or two. This third time, though, it's been a week. Each time has been right after fueling up, which I'm chalking up to bizarre coincidence. I found and dusted off my little carmd doodad and plugged her in. I've got codes B0044, U1000, and U1096. The only other issue I've encountered is the oil pressure gauge maxing out. Hubby says no big deal, just a sensor, but I wanted to include that info in case it's in any way related to the airbag problem.

My hubby's logging serious overtime and commuting hours right now, so my oldest (the 16 year old tree kisser) and I are on a mission to at least have the part purchased, so that all hubby will have to do is swap it out if we can't manage without him.

Thanks ahead of time for any advice or recommendations!

Thanks for the quick response. All gauges are functional, with the exception of the oil pressure gauge, which maxes out as soon as I turn the key on.
