I want to install an aftermarket 2 din dvd player in my truck, (no bose or onstar in truck). I was told i could do this without a gm interface (PAC or peripheral $100) i would just loose my door chimes, the 10 min radio shut off delay and also i would have to find my own switch12v lead. Is this correct? Can i buy a cheaper interface that will allow me to keep my chimes and 10min delay and provide the 12v lead needed?
