I bought my car after I got out of the army on March 13 2008. My car had 34,000 miles on it when I bought it from the dealer. Since than I had no problems with it, but 3 months ago the heater core broke and cost $1,113.54 to replace it. After that, my car been great, but than I hear a low humming noise in the back. I take my car to the mechanic and he said it is the fuel pump and this is normal. Now, my fuel pump is making a louder noise and when I turn the key I hear a loud squealing noise as the fuel Gage hand is moving, than the noise stops when the hand stops. I hear a loud squealing noise in the back, not too loud but can hear clearly. My car runs great and turns on great, I just turn the key and the car turns on great. I drive the car a lot and have no problems. Do you know whats going on with the fuel pump or the car? ETC? I had my car state inspection in Feb 09 and the Chevrolet dealer said it past but the left trans-axel seal is leaking a little and the right strunt is starting to leak, but another mechanic said that's no problem , when the axel seal breaks you will hear a clicking noise when I turn the car and when the strut goes bad the car will not bounce right. My car has 64,000 miles on it now. What is the problem? Fuel pump? Is this normal? ECT?
