I want to know if it would be okay to put a 454 into my 1977 Nova. In my last question i asked if a 383 would be cool but someone told me they have problems blowing cams. My dad has a friend that is willing to sell me a 454 that's in a 1982 GMC pickup that was used to haul boats around for cheap only $300 and it runs. I want to know if the car will have any problems with the 454 and can someone tell me some bore and stroke options too. My dads friend already told us the engine is making 390hp with the parts on and i would like to know how to make 450-500hp but for cheap since this car will be a budget build. This car will also be a weekend warrior on the drag strip and not just a street car.
