99 Chevy Malibu Rear door on drivers side stuck?

on my 99 malibu, the rear door on the drivers side seems to be stuck, jam or w/e. you can open it from the outside however when i try to open it or someone from the inside it wont open when the handle pulled (kind of how the backseat doors of a police car dont open). Does it need some WD40 somewhere or a new lock?

It sounds like the rod which goes from the inside handle to the lock mechanism has popped off....they have little plastic clips to hold them on which can break or come loose. Or the inside handle is broken. You'll have to remove the door trim panel to find out where the problem lies. If the clip(s) or handle is broken, parts stores or dealers sell the clips...dealers only for the handle...or junkyards..
