98 Suburban stalls when put into park

I have a 98 k2500 454 suburban that stalls when put into park. This only happens once the vehicle is warmed up to normal operating temp. The stalling does not always happen, though it does it about 90 percent of the time. Anyone have any insight?

you did mean when put into park, not taken out of park and put into a forward or reverse gear?
