I have a 98 chevy silverado. My recent issue with it was, while driving I noticed my truck kinda reving a little high... seconds later it was reving and slowing down. I was able to drive it for about 2 miles at a top speed of 15 miles per hour. I got to my destination with my hazards on. If I leave it parked for a day I can start it and drive it normally at any speed for about 5 minutes before it only reves but goes no where. I added tranny fluid, but that didnt seem to work. Does anyone know what the hell is going on here? Any advice would be useful. Thanks...

i'm no mechanic, but just because you added tranny fluid doesn't mean much. You should also be looking at your torque converter, your entire transmission system, and if you have one, your carb. If your truck is fuel-injected, you should start looking at your fuel filter, your injecters, etc. A 98 is actually 10 years old, and GM products usually need a fuel system and transmission overhaul. Hopefully it's just something simple?
