97 Chevy Suburban Electric Fuel Pump electric connection removal?

I'm replacing the fuel pump on my 97 suburban and the yellow electrical connection on top of the tank doesn't want to come free. Is there a special way this connection comes undone? I see where the wires go into the connection but there is nothing that is holding them in place and I can't pull them out or the connection upward. Any help would be appreciated thanks all

hopefully you have the battery disconnected. do not remove top of tank connection. the connection you will remove is the one connecting to the fuel pump itself inside the tank.
