my friend has a 2008 cobalt LS 2 door 2.2L ECO-TEC 5 speed tranny, i got a 1996 accord ex 4 door 2.2L V-Tec engine 5 speed tranny. i have K N cold air intake, pacesetter headers, and full Tsudo exhaust coming back from the headers to the muffler, i have deeper gears way deeper gears then him. BUT me and him have raced a few times and my front end is even with his wheel wells and his cobalt is BONE STOCK, NOT ONE THING is modded on that car. i can stay in front of him on take off but by like 3rd gear he will start pulling away, what reasons could this be now he has 27,000 miles on his cobalt i have 180,000, i think it is just the weight difference because his car is all plastic my car is mostly metal but not all metal, anyone think the same or different?? let me know what you think. i wanna see what answers i get for reasons why this might be, Thanks

Ok do not do what Altimaka suggested not a good idea. But as for the weight your car is about 100 pounds lighter so that is not it your car is older and the mods you have are only going to give you better flow for the engine not much hp so if you really want your mods to help. You need to get your car tuned. If you get your ecu chipped and tuned and you learn to shift at the right time you will beat him for sure. His car stock only has 3 more hp than yours
