and backfire when reving? i have a 94 camaro z28 lt1 that backfires and idles at high rpms(2000-2500). you hear it sucking up too much air and i was wondering would that make it back fire when you rev the engine, misfire when driving, and idles high. does the air make the car do all that. the extra air is coming from the intake elbow that hooks up to the throttle body from the mass air flow sensor. its torn and i tried to duct tape it but it didnt work and i cannot find another one unless i purchase an entire cold air intake system.
