If you have a few basic tools , and a little mechanical ability , you can save several hundred dollars by fixing HEADLIGHT MOTORS yourself on 88 to 96 Vettes!! The gears are almost NEVER STRIPPED as one would think . There are Delrin bushings under the plastic gear in the motor. These are what breaks inside the motor.
Delrin bushings quickly deteriorate due to heat , cold , drag due to other parts sticking or misaligned and plain old normal use !
The solution , (around $10 to upgrade 2 motors yourself !) look up dragonstreasurehorde on Ebay .
This product is very well designed ALUMINUM , with great instructions !!
It was designed to break like the delrins do in a jam , but without the deterioration flaws of Delrin !! Has a LIFETIME WARRANTY TOO !!
check out the customer feedback !!
go to Ebay look up dragonstreasurehorde (all lowercase)
