So it rained a little last night and I started my truck up to go to work, after about 10 minutes on the road my truck completely died as if I turned the key off. I got a tow home and now I am receiving no spark out of the distributor. I took the distributor out, and noticed the carbon button where the coil makes contact with was totally flat. Replaced that and tried a hot-wire method to test the coil with no avail. Also tried another coil that I know works with no avail. Also my distributor seemed to be grounding out with the tach wire hooked up (never seen this before was making sparks when i put a ground to it). Just recently replaced the coil and the ignition control module (reoccuring problem I am having it seems) Anyone have any thoughts? Maybe pickup-coil? Going to test the coils, ICM and pickup-coil tomorrow at Autozone.

Thanks!

Fixed it, pick up coil was burning out my ICM's. Bought and replaced new pickup coil and ICM. Tada never ran better.

Thanks

great to hear you got it going
