5.3 vortec top end noise....03 burb

at cold start in mornings, sounds like a lifter is tapping until warm-up.
10-15min....
some say this is a problem with the 5.3

is there an additive like marvel mystery oil I can use to flush the lifter and hopefully it will keep primed ?

basing this on many years ago with the 240 6cyl engine I had in
a truck. it worked then

how many miles on the motor? what viscosity oil are you using? the Marvel wont hurt you can try it.

135k ,always have used 5w30 ...thanks

You can try going up to a 10W30.
