2016 Chevy Malibu engine operating temperature range

I have recently purchased a 2016 Chevy Malibu LT 1.5L Turbo. What is the
normal operating temperature for the engine coolant? I have seen anywhere
from 196F to 215F while driving in 80-85F ambient temperature.

That's normal, thermostat starts to open at around 195 and engine fans kick in around 215.
