2013 Malibu showing Code 128 an engine no starts

Self start is not working

And hear the sound like tak tak takk tak tak takk from engine

And the display says code 128

Please help

The code is not related to the no start condition http://www.obd-codes.com/p0128
When you turn the key to the run position do you hear the fuel pump run for a few seconds?
Does the battery seem weak?
Can you test for spark at the plugs?
