2011 Chevy truck

Hello everyone. New to the forum. I have a 2011 Chevy silverado with 5.3 automatic. I have had the truck 6 months (bought used 18,000 miles). I sold my 1996 Chevy truck and bought this one. Having a hard time getting used to the 6th speed tranny. Everyone said I would so really not sure. I don't not like the in and out from 8 to 4 cylinder going down the road. I was told that I could disable that!? Not sure. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Also any other info or ideas I need to know about this truck would be great also! Have a great day!!

Here's a copy of the owners manual in case you dont have one. You will have to look into aftermarket tuning to disable the cylinder reduction feature. Google will give you lots of hits on that feature.

Do you have any idea what some good tuner brands are?

try a site like www.summitracing.com and www.jegs.com select your vehicle and then do a search for "tuner"
